Bacup 1 - 2 FCUoM

A goal each from strike partners Rory Patterson and Stuart Rudd was enough give United all three points in a 2-1 win at Bacup, putting them one point behind title hopefuls Salford City, who have a much inferior goal difference.
Patterson won United a a penalty midway through the first half, but Billy 'the Fish' Carrington kept Rudd out from the spot.
Bacup won their own penalty on the half-hour mark after referee Ian Rose spotted a push in the box - a decision later criticised by FC boss Karl Marginson.
But United bounced back with a spectacular Patterson finish and then went ahead just before the break thanks to fantastic teamwork between Jerome Wright and Rudd.
The match ended 2-1 before a crowd of 1,504, with the only downside of the game being a broken nose for Rob Nugent, which is set to keep him out for the next few weeks.
