FCUoM 4 - 2 Silsden

SILSDEN put up a good fight and were unlucky to have man sent off, according to reds boss Karl Marginson.
Speaking after the game he said his own players were sloppy and would need to improve for the next test away to title challengers Curzon Ashton.
He said: "I don't think we started, really. The referee has done us a favour [with the penalty and sending off].
"It should have been a yellow card. But it's another three points.
"I'm not happy with the performance. I don't think we played anywhere near what we can do.
"We got sloppy and started to showboat and that's not playing professionally.
"We won't be able to do that on Monday night. We've got to approach that game as though it's a cup final.
"It's a big game and everyone will have to apply themselves in the right manner."
He added: "[With some of the shots late on] we needed to show we were ruthless and that's just a lack of professionalism. You've go to finish [those] chances off.
"Some of the play was too slow. It just wasn't what we're about.
"Chaddy got out-muscled twice [for both goals]. He knows it. He thinks it's the worst game he has had for seve years and, though I'll give him a pat on the back, I've agreed with him.
"We were only saying the other week how we had nothing to moan at [the players] about. Now we have."
Of the penalty, Marginson said: "Rory [Patterson] was off getting treatment.
"To be honest, Stuart [Rudd] doesn't like taking penalties, but he hit and, fortunately, the 'keeper was able to get out of the way of it."
And of Patterson's spectacular effort for 4-1, he said: "It was magnificent. He's got that in his locker, which is infuriating sometimes because he sometimes doesn't do it in the other parts of his game, but it was absolutely brilliant.
"To see [the 'keeper off his line] is one thing, but to carry it out is another. It was a great strike."
"Josh Howard played well, as did Alex Mortimer, Matty Taylor and Will Ahern, though I don't want to single anyone out because it's a team effort.
"The crowd was absolutely fantastic and hopefulyl everyone enjoyed it."
