Started by a group of local railway workers, now in the hands of a yank family who knows nothing about what Manchester United stands for. The body of Manchester United is dead, and to be honest a cancer has been spreading through United for years. The cancer was the franchise, the business. And with each season the cancer got worse as it gradually killed off the true Manchester United fans until only a small number will be inside Old Trafford next season. The song sang by opposition fans that goes “60,000 muppets” may now be true.

Our new range of Japanese fans will be in the seats once occupied by the working class people of Manchester, and the UK. They will sing “Glory Glory Man United” instead of “we’ll never die”, they’ll go to the Red Café and leave the once bouncing pubs around OT empty.

The sounds that once filled the air as you walked down Sir Matt Busby Way will be gone, the magic that seemed to engulf you as you walked across the forecourt will have passed into the passages of time and most of all the loyal fans that keep Manchester Uniteds heart beating will mostly be gone, a few will still remain but they will be sitting in a stadium with no atmosphere, just polite applause for a goal. They will be surrounded by customers and posh people, rarely hearing that distinctive Mancunian accent.

The club we all loved has gone, For now anyway. The corporate fans and customers have been trying to destroy the true football fans for years, and they have now sucked all the life out of Manchester United. They have sucked all the passion out of Old Trafford.

No matter what anybody says, we cant stop loving Manchester United, we cant stop wanting the team to do well, we cant stop getting that gut wrenching feeling when United lose and we cant stop our lives revolving around Manchester United. But we can stop going to games from now on until Glazers gone.

Let Glazer fill his stadium for a few months. It will be full of Glory Hunting day trippers. It will be full of once a season fans. But after all these millions of fans (a total myth by the way) have their once a season trip, who will go?? Once they get bored, they have sampled the great day out at Old Trafford, where then will they go??

But its hard right now, and for the next few years it will be. Sir Matt Busby will not have given up, he will just be shedding a desperate, lonely, forlorn tear. And we should not give up either. The soul of MUFC is alive and kicking, and we will rise again. Until the fans reclaim the club, it never will be the same.

Everybody has made their choices and as normal with MUFC, a phoenix has already began to rise. The Phoenix fund is a truly great idea, a idea which looks far more likely to succeed than Malcolm’s business plan.

It’s a terribly hard time, no one can deny that. After years of going to Old Trafford, I cant bear to go anymore. Many nights I lye in bed holding my red and white bar scarf, thinking of great games, great players and great atmospheres throughout the years. I also think about Munich, I shed a tear for those brave men. Also I think about the future, and future which someday will see a fan owned MUFC.

But for now, the heritage and match going traditions of Manchester United can be sustained through FC United Of Manchester. We can keep the faith alive within FC United Of Manchester. Of course it also promises to be a lot of Fun, on the terraces again, in small grounds and being able to stand. And best of all, no jester hat wearers, just loyal reds wanting to maintain the history of MUFC.

I would hope everybody would help play their part in FC United and do a bit. If everybody mucks in a helps, then we will have ourselves a very successful club.
